FEDERAL GOVERNMENT KICK-STARTS NATIONAL MANGROVE RESTORATION PROJECT

As part of measures to ensure the protection of mangroves and oceans, the Federal Government has kick-started a National Mangrove Restoration Project that will deliver environmental and sustainable livelihood benefits for people in the Niger Delta region.

Minister of State for Environment, Sharon Ikeazor announced this project as Nigeria joined the global community to commemorate the 2020 International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem.

It has also identified four sites, Taylor Creek Forest Reserve, Num Forest Reserve, Apoi Creek Forest Reserve, and Edumanon Forest Reserve, all in south south Bayelsa State.

MOROCCO’S ONLINE REAL ESTATE LOAN SERVICE, STRATEGY TO DIGITIZE BANKING PRODUCTS

Elsewhere in Africa, Morocco’s Bank of Africa has launched an online real estate loan service as part of its strategy to digitize its banking products.

“Credithabitat.ma” is the bank’s first online real estate loan service, seeking to allow clients to check their mortgage application and receive commercial offers without having to travel to the bank.

The new platform will also help clients download supporting documents and monitor the progress of their credit file, “all with customized assistance provided by Agence Direct teams at all phases of the online process.

AUSTRALIANS SPEND 48% MORE TIME ON REAL ESTATE WEBSITES FOR JUNE 2020

latest Nielsen Digital Content Ratings data from Australia show Real estate sites have seen record audiences and time spent on their online titles.

Despite the uncertain road combined with the fall of national rent values by 0.3% in June, Nielsen found that Australians spent 48% more time on real estate websites for the month of June 2020 when compared to the same month last year.

As lockdown restrictions have eased to allow open houses and on-site auctions, audiences have spent an average of 27% more time on real estate sites each week in comparison to the national lockdown period.
